Gift Certificate Redemption Policy

At Ye Olde Brothers Brewery, we are committed to providing a secure and enjoyable experience for all our customers. To help prevent fraud and ensure the integrity of our gift certificate program, we have implemented the following verification procedures for redeeming named gift certificates (such as those issued through promotions like Sweet Deals, where a purchaser’s name is printed on the certificate).
Verification Requirements: Photo ID Requirement: The individual redeeming the gift certificate must present a valid government-issued photo ID (e.g., driver’s license, state ID, or passport) that matches the name printed on the gift certificate.
ID Photography for Records: For fraud prevention purposes, we will take a digital photograph of the presented ID. This photo will be securely stored in our internal records solely for the purpose of investigating any suspected fraudulent activity related to the redemption. It will not be used for marketing, shared with third parties (except as required by law), or retained longer than necessary (typically no more than 30 days unless an investigation is active).
Matching Criteria: The name on the ID must exactly match the name on the gift certificate. If there is a mismatch (e.g., due to a gift transfer), the certificate may not be redeemable under this policy. We encourage purchasers to contact us in advance if transferring the certificate to another person.
Exceptions: This policy applies only to named gift certificates. Anonymous or non-named certificates may be redeemed without ID verification, subject to our standard terms.
Refusal of Service: We reserve the right to refuse redemption if the ID cannot be verified, appears altered, or if fraud is suspected. In such cases, we may report the incident to appropriate authorities.
Privacy and Data Protection: All personal information collected under this policy will be handled in compliance with applicable Florida laws, including the Florida Information Protection Act. Photos of IDs will be encrypted and accessible only to authorized staff for fraud-related investigations.
